Handmade Mandolins

A mandolin is a stringed musical instrument in the lute family, typically with four double courses of strings tuned in unison (8 strings). It is similar in design to a violin or a guitar, but smaller and with a higher-pitched sound. A handmade mandolin is one that has been crafted by a skilled luthier, rather than mass-produced by a factory. Handmade mandolins are often considered to have superior tone and craftsmanship compared to factory-made instruments. They can also be custom-made to the specifications of the individual musician.
